Little letter 57, 24.07.2023
Greetings from the sofa on a wet and chilly (summer’s) day!
Are you as over July as I am… weather-wise?
July always brings change for me. Sometimes I wonder if this is because it is my birthday month or that it is the middle of the year, or the middle of summer/winter (depending on where I am), or I’m universally more attentive.
Do you have a month in the year that is always significant to changes?
After a fabulous weekend with old friends celebrating my birthday, I feel so drawn to live more spontaneously. Just like the weather.. ;)
If only outdoor venues in the UK offered half-price discounts on rainy days during school holidays, I’m sure it’d be beneficial for both sides!
This week I may see a mama friend I haven’t seen for almost ten years if we can make it work, in between other commitments.
Being spontaneous is one thing, but depending on cancelled flights, freak weather patterns, summer colds and the sudden reappearance of nasty bugs, is something next-level, risking it all for a bit of summer.
This reminds us that we all need to give ourselves a break, especially when Summer doesn’t seem to understand the assignment either!
May you let go of needing to plan too much and lose faith when things fail, but stay hopeful of new changes and new opportunities that come into your world too?
A peaceful summer/winter to you x
