Tea

Got a cuppa Kusmi Tea beside me. French Parisian herbal teas at their finest, gorgeous presents from my ex’s family but running out soon so that’s a shame.

Energy

Excited as schools and pre-schools all open again today - woohoo!

After the heavy chickenpox experience as well as starting half-term holidays the following weekend, with a freakin’ full-on first camping family festival and getting no sleep as a result, followed by the Jubilee celebrations… it’s very safe to say I’m keen to get back to some type of working week again.

Thought

I’m sure you saw the picture of Prince Louis expressing his frustration at being on the Queen’s balcony, in front of thousands, and millions watching from afar.

He was pulling faces, blocking his ears, moaning - being a typical overwhelmed four-year-old.

It made me think of the question I was asked at the fifth and final interview for a Governess job position in Dubai for the Royal Sheik’s second wife and their children.

The question was:

“What would you do when you’re faced with a lot of publicity and paparazzi and one of the children starts acting up?”

Needless to say, I knew then and there that such hard work and the emotional demands it entailed were not for me!
